Our Mission
Let’s make Italy a cycling country
We believe that our cities can be more beautiful, that our air can be cleaner, that our money can be better spent, that our time is too precious to waste it while stuck in traffic, that our life needs quality, not frantic inefficiency.
The bicycle is one of the most powerful tools that we have to reach these goals; more and more people are choosing it as their daily companion.
Bikenomist’s task is to promote and facilitate this change, generating business opportunities for those who share this vision, so that the bicycle age can be beautiful, sustainable and profitable.
Our History
From Bike to Business
Bikeitalia.it was born in 2013 out of 3 blogs dedicated to cycling. We felt the need to create a reference information tool to lead and promote thinking in how to make a different use of public space and territory thanks to the bicycle.
We have chosen to ignore the world of cycling competitions; we want to talk to the 99%, those who need to take their children to school, do their shopping, go on an alternative holiday, go to work, have a higher quality of life.
This 99% has needs to be answered; they demand products and services which have to be met by supply: this is what we call bikenomics.
In 2015 Bikeitalia.it became part of Bikenomist, a services firm specializing in communication, training and consultancy for those who want to turn a profit from the bike age.
In 2016 we launched our Training division to create the next generation of cycling technicians, and to train the public to a correct and aware use of the bike: in less than four years more than 4000 people have chosen our courses in mechanics, biomechanics and training.
Our Team
A team of professionals working together to turn Italy into a cycling country.
I like changing things that I don’t like, and improving those that I like.
I report on the bike world on the digital pages of Bikeitalia.it.
I believe in bicycle as a tool to regenerate Italian cities. I have a weakness for bicycle parking and Tactical Urbanism..
PhD in Physical Exercise and Human Movement Sciences. MTB enthusiast, “bike to work” 365 days a year.
I work on taking back the road as a public space for people; I am convinced that in the future there will be #carfreecities.
